Best Places to Mine Sulfur in Palworld (Coordinates & Guide)

Once you unlock firearms in Palworld, the game changes completely. But crafting assault rifle ammo burns through Gunpowder at an alarming rate, and Gunpowder requires Sulfur.

Unlike stone or wood, Sulfur isn't found everywhere. It is yellow, smells like rotten eggs (presumably), and is mostly found in the dangerous volcanic regions. Here are the most efficient places to mine it.

1. The Eternal Pyre Tower Entrance (Best Manual Farm)

• Coordinates: -595, -511
• Why it’s the best: This is the "lazy" farmer's dream. There are roughly 8 Sulfur nodes located immediately next to the Fast Travel point.
• Strategy: Teleport in, mine everything, and teleport back to your base. It takes less than 2 minutes. Since it is right next to a tower, you don't even need to fight enemies.

2. Mount Obsidian Midpoint (Best Base Location)

• Coordinates: -355, -410
• Why it’s great: If you want to automate sulfur production with a Palbox, this is a prime spot. It has a cluster of sulfur nodes and a nearby cave entrance (Volcanic Cavern) which contains even more.
• Warning: It is hot. You must wear Heat Resistant Metal Armor or you will burn to death while building.

3. Twilight Dunes (Early Game Option)

• Coordinates: -160, -114
• Why it’s good: If you aren't high enough level to survive the volcano, the Twilight Dunes (near the Anubis boss) is a safer alternative.
• Trade-off: The sulfur nodes here are more scattered, so you can't just stand in one spot and mine them all. You’ll need to run around.

Automating Gunpowder Production

To mass-produce ammo, you shouldn't be swinging the pickaxe yourself.

1. Catch a Digtoise: Found in the Twilight Dunes. Their "Drill Crusher" skill destroys nodes in seconds.
2. Build a Sulfur Mine: At Level 52, you unlock the Sulfur Mine structure, allowing you to produce it anywhere—even at your main base.
