Palworld Sakurajima Update Released! New Pals, Island, & More

The long awaited Summer 2024 update: Palworld Sakurajima is finally here, bringing a new island, new Pals, dedicated Xbox servers, and lots of new features! Here's what's new and how to play.

After a long wait, Pocketpair, the devs behind the hit game Palworld that took the gaming world by storm earlier this year in January, announced at Summer Game Fest the biggest update to the game yet.

Xbox players will be pleased to know the update will also add dedicated servers, after issues at launch when compared to the Steam version.

New Pals

The Palworld Sakurajima trailer shows four new Pals joining the Palpagos islands!

Oil Rig Stronghold

The Sakurajima update introduces a new Stronghold in the form of a sprawling oil rig, guarded by a group of poachers. Players can participate in extensive battles, competing for rewards including the newly added Crude Oil resource. The update also features a PvP Arena mode, letting players engage in combat with their Pals against other players.

Desert Raid

You can fight big monsters and Pals with friends in this new Desert raid!

Palworld Xbox Dedicated Servers

The new Palworld update also brings Xbox dedicated servers! This update allows you to play on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, or the Windows PC Microsoft Store version of the game on your own private dedicated server! Here's how to create a Xbox dedicated server for Palworld.
