Best Places to Mine Pure Quartz in Palworld

You need Circuit Boards to reach the endgame. Here are the best Pure Quartz locations on the map.

Best Places to Mine Pure Quartz in Palworld

You’ve conquered the early game, built your assembly lines, and now you’re ready to build the high-tech endgame structures. But suddenly, you need Circuit Boards, and for that, you need Pure Quartz.

Pure Quartz is distinct from standard Ore or Coal. It is only found in the most hostile environments of Palworld. Here is where to find it and how to farm it safely.

Location: The Astral Mountains

Pure Quartz is almost exclusively found in the Astral Mountains (the large snow biome in the northwest).

  • Requirement: You need Cold Resistant Metal Armor (or better) to survive here. Nighttime is especially deadly.

Top 3 Mining Coordinates

1. The Quartz Clump (Best Spot)

  • Coordinates: -210, 250
  • Details: Located relatively close to the "Pristine Snow Field" fast travel point.
  • Yield: There are roughly 8-9 Pure Quartz nodes clustered tightly together. This is the single best spot in the game to drop a Palbox and build an automated mining base.

2. Unthawable Lake

  • Coordinates: -199, 249
  • Details: Just north of the lake, there is a smaller cluster of quartz. It’s a good backup spot if your main location is blocked by terrain or other bases.
  • Yield: 4-5 nodes.

3. PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower

  • Coordinates: -134, 575
  • Details: Near the tower entrance, you can find scattered nodes. It’s less efficient for a base, but great for a quick manual mining run while exploring.

Best Pals for Mining Quartz

Since these nodes are in a high-level zone, you need strong Pals that can fight off wild level 40+ enemies if your walls get breached.

  • Astegon: Mining Level 4 (The best miner in the game).
  • Digtoise: Mining Level 3 (Reliable and easy to find in the desert).
  • Menasting: Mining Level 3 (Good combat stats for defense).

Hosting Your Own Palworld Server

Automating a base in the Astral Mountains requires your server to keep running even when you log off. If you are playing on a local co-op save, your base stops working when the host leaves. To keep your Quartz farm running 24/7, consider moving your save file to a dedicated server.

berrybyte Palworld Hosting keeps your world online permanently so you can wake up to a chest full of resources. Not sure how to move your save? We have a guide on Migrating Your Local Save to a Dedicated Server.
